Indian wellness and beauty company VLCC plans to acquire three new companies, including a nutraceutical firm.

This will signal VLCC’s first entry into the nutraceutical space.

Reports said VLCC founder Vandana Luthra is currently in talks with three companies, with at least two of them already “in the advanced stage” of negotiations.

The acquisitions would expand the company’s portfolio and geographical foot print across the Asia-Pacific region.

VLCC operates more than 100 wellness centres across India. The company also has a presence in 11 countries in South Asia and South East Asia.

Under its Personal Care brand, VLCC retails beauty, slimming as well as functional food products such as dietary fibre supplements, fortified honey and herbal infusions.

VLCC expects all acquisitions to be completed by March 2018.
