Australian nutraceutical firm BioCeuticals has picked up two awards, one for a new health portal, and another for its health and lifestyle brand IsoWhey.

It’s new FX Medicine website (), a health and information portal for patients and practitioners, won the Complementary Medicines Australia (CMA) award for Most Outstanding Contribution to Research, Education or Training.

In addition to its feature articles, research news and educational infographics, the FX Medicine brand also produces a popular stream of podcasts, and feature exclusive interviews with renowned Australian practitioners as well as international specialists including naturopathic oncologist Dr Lise Alschuler, cardiologist Dr Mark Houston, neurologist Dr David Perlmutter and celebrity chef and paleo diet advocate Pete Evans.

Education manager and naturopath Danny Urbinder said FX Medicine had become a trusted source of integrative medicine research and practical information for both health professionals and consumers.

“FX Medicine is a knowledge portal for people who want accurate and up-to-date information of advances in the field and best practice integrative medicine,” Mr Urbinder said.

“Many people turn to the internet for health information but misinformation is rife. It is difficult to know what to believe.”

Urbinder said the non-bias information presented on FX Medicine is all written and researched by an independent team of qualified health experts.

The FX Medicine portal is also governed by an esteemed scientific advisory board made up of  integrative health and medicine experts with experience from oncology to general practice.

Weight loss win

BioCeuticals, which is owned by Blackmores, also won the Customer Satisfaction award in the weight loss category at this year’s Canstar Blue Awards for its IsoWhey products.

Voted by consumers, IsoWhey scored the highest against ten other companies and was the only brand to receive five stars in four criteria, Effectiveness, Hunger Suppression, Taste, and Variety.

Arina Pogossian, head of marketing at IsoWhey, said: “This win is terrific recognition from our valued customers in what we know is a highly competitive category. It’s testament to our dedicated team, our focus on innovation, and our commitment to enabling Australians to live healthier lives.”

Canstar Blue is a customer satisfaction research and ratings business, which was launched in July 2010 with the core purpose of helping consumers make better purchase decisions.

The research, conducted by Colmar Brunton, surveyed approximately 6,000 Australian consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction.

IsoWhey is sold in more than 3,000 pharmacies and health food stores across the country.
