Watch: How probiotics can offer huge benefits for the oral health of Asia’s ageing population
Oral health is a significant concern among Asia’s ageing population, with many of the problems taking root at a relatively young age, according to DuPont’s Principal Applications Specialist.
We spoke with Anders Henrikson shortly after he delivered a keynote presentation at our recent healthy Ageing APAC Summit in Singapore.
In the video, he outlines the scale of the problem around periodontitis, but also some of the “compelling” evidence that probiotics can offer considerable benefits, alongside traditional dental treatment.
He also discusses some of the other emerging benefits of probiotic intake, as well as the need to effectively communicate these to dentists, health care practitioners and consumers.
