Natural botanicals, such as those used in Ayurveda and TCM, have a long history of use in Asia, but there is renewed interest in their benefits for Healthy Ageing.

With a renewed interest in natural botanical sources for maintaining health, NutraIngredients-Asia​ spoke to two industry experts to learn more about the types of botanicals beneficial for healthy ageing and beyond.

Vanita Dahia, an Ayurveda neuropath and compound pharmacist, pointed out examples such as Indian ginseng Ashwagandha and Brahmi.

On the other hand, Chin-chu Chen, general manager at Biotech Research Institute of Taiwanese firm Grape King Bio, talked in detail about how the company addressed the challenge of NPD using botanicals, and the types of products made.
