The work being undertaken by trade body GOED to catalogue 4,000-plus human clinical trials on omega-3 will be showcased at the organisation’s forthcoming GOED Exchange in Barcelona.

Speaking to us at the recent Vitafoods Asia show in Singapore, GOED’s executive director Ellen Schutt highlighted how the project would enable the industry to assess trials by demographic, dosage, whether it was by food or supplementation, and if it was for nutritional or pharmaceutical purposes.

She also discusses how it will help identify research gaps, help substantiate claims and foster product development.

In our exclusive video, Schutt also focuses on the growing interest around omega-3 and cognitive health and explains why the overriding theme of the Exchange will be growth.

The GOED Exchange takes place in Barcelona from February 4-6 in Barcelona.
