WATCH: Microbiome, personalised nutrition, and protein…Life-Space and Nutritional Growth Solutions on R&D for kids’ supplements

For Life-Space, the company aims to leverage on its expertise and research in maternal and infant probiotics and apply that to children’s supplements.

In fact, the company is planning to launch its very first probiotic product under its children's supplement brand Pentavite later this year or early next year.

“It is absolutely important that we look to the microbiome and look at probiotics within our range. ​

“Because I think you can't talk about children's health and not talk about the importance of the child's developing microbiome, the importance of the microbiome around immunity, stress, mood, weight loss, weight gain,” ​CEO of Life-Space, Nathan Cheong said.  

He added that BY-HEALTH, Life-Space’s parent company, has been researching on personalised nutrition and the company hopes to leverage on this for its kids’ nutrition portfolio.

On the other hand, Nutritional Growth Solutions, known for its flagship product Healthy Height, said it has been researching on protein shake products catered to the needs of physically active children.

“Our primarily product focuses on heights, it is called Healthy Height, its designed to help kids grow better and add more height.​

“But​ we are now also working to create more products, for example, we now have a clinical study on a protein shake to help kids who are very active, like the young athletes,”​ CEO of Nutritional Growth Solutions, Liron Fendell said.
