Kirin, Blackmores’ first immune health supplement debuts in Taiwan
Kirin and its subsidiary Blackmores have launched their first collaborative product in Taiwan.
The product, sold under the Blackmores brand, uses Kirin’s flagship immune care postbiotic ingredient LC-plasma - also known as Lactococcus lactis strain plasma.
It was unveiled during Kirin Group’s Health Science Business Strategy Briefing press conference last week.

Japanese functional tea brand Teaflex has launched two new products in a dissolvable powder format, which are targeted at improving sleep quality and fat reduction separately.
The products, namely Sleep Night Peach Rooibos Tea and Slim Cleanse Green Tea, would enable consumers to “efficiently enjoy them” because of the easy preparation and cleanup, as there are no tea leaves involved.
Kewpie looks to apply elderly-friendly food development expertise from Japan to China market
Japan’s Kewpie hopes to apply the expertise it has developed in producing elderly friendly foods in Japan to the China market in light of the latter’s rapidly increasing elderly population size.
Kewpie has been working on ways to help the elderly eat and enjoy foods via oral consumption and not via parenteral methods such as tube feeding, as studies have shown that physical chewing and oral ingestion has benefits to improve physiology.
