New Zealand-founded brand Dose & Co is bringing a new range of ingestible beauty supplements to the European market to target the signs of aging at a cellular level.

Launching today in the UK, the Beauty is Cellular range is designed to promote skin and hair health via a variety of hero ingredients, according to Jennifer Mo, a nutritional formulations expert, who created the products alongside Dose & Co’s Head of Brands, Rosie Jenkins.

Each of the three products in the range features a clinically proven ingredient alongside supplementary components designed to work synergistically to address a specific cosmetic concern.

“This range was designed to bring clinically studied change to a desired area,” Mo told NutraIngredients. “Where I see topicals as a reactionary tool, ingestible cosmeceuticals are nourishing the cause.”

What to expect from the Beauty is Cellular range

Radiant Complexion is a daily ingestible capsule formulated with SkinAx2, a combination of Champagne grape seed extract, French melon extract, carotenoids, vitamin C and zinc from French ingredient supplier Activ’Inside, which has been shown to increase skin luminosity by 26% and reduce facial skin imperfections, dark circles, sunspots and redness. It also includes hyaluronic acid, choline, glucuronic acid and vitamins E, A and B3.

For mature skin, Advanced Age Defy combines AstaReal’s astaxanthin, shown to prevent wrinkle formation and loss of skin moisture, with coenzyme Q10, vitamins C and E, selenium, zinc, niacinamide and retinol to boost collagen and elasticity, defend against UV rays and strengthen and renew skin cells.

“Molecule size matters,” Mo said. “These ingredients are working in the extracellular matrix where the exchange between the blood and cellular components takes place.”

The final product in the trio, Dose & Co’s Hair Support, features Mibelle Biochemistry’s AnaGain, a pea sprout extract clinically shown to stimulate hair follicles and improve hair strength.

“Hair Support is the perfect example of a product that is formulated to address scalp health and hair condition in one convenient product,” Mo said. “I think the term ‘hair’ has become over generalized. If the scalp is not nourished, then the hair is not going to grow as strong or be better retained, so we’ve built a supplement to do more.”

Simplifying cosmetic routines

At the heart of the range is simplicity, according to Mo, who said the aim was to build a ‘complete solution’ to a cosmetic problem in a one-capsule-a-day format.

“The genius of what we’ve brought to the Beauty is Cellular range is potency and ease of use,” she explained. “For a supplement to be effective it has to do more with less complication. We wanted to remove the barriers that come with what can become a taxing, costly and inconsistent beauty routine full of multiple products and multiple steps.”

The Beauty is Cellular range will be available in Boots UK stores, and Dose & Co is working to expand both portfolio and markets.

“There are plans to follow this with launches across our current customer portfolio, which is concentrated in Australia, New Zealand and the USA, and we have retail partners in the UAE and EU who are awaiting access once regulatory and packaging per those markets is complete,” Mo said.

“We have formulated an additional three products in the early stages of development, which will launch in 2026.”
