Pioneers in New Zealand’s natural health sector, which contributes $2.3bn to the nation’s economy, have been recognised by the country’s trade association.

Natural Health Products New Zealand announced its 2025 award winners in Christchurch last week.

The big winner, including of the overall Supreme Award, was Honuka.

Honuka is a New Zealand-based wellness company founded by conservationist beekeeper and a commercial entrepreneur Nikki Peek. It’s flagship Honuka 1000 products combines the natural strength of Mānuka honey with science backed Lypearl Liposomal Vitamin C and D, to support the natural immune system.

The award judges noted: “This company has built everything in-house, using agile methods and consumer insight. From innovative formulation and design to exceptional packaging and launch strategy, Honuka’s story and marketing approach are as distinctive as its debut product—blending natural NZ ingredients, scientific innovation, and conservation roots.”
