HealthKart seals exclusive manufacturing, sales deal with Ronnie Coleman

HealthKart has sealed a deal with eighth-time bodybuilding Olympian Ronnie Coleman, where they would be the exclusive manufacturer and distributer of his sports nutrition products in the Indian market.

In fact, Coleman has also become an equity partner in the Indian dietary supplements retailing company which also owns its own branded products, including sports nutrition brand MuscleBlaze.

HealthKart will first focus on manufacturing and distributing top sellers from the Ronnie Coleman Signature Series in India and neighbouring markets like Sri Lanka.

Haleon is scaling up its Bone Up campaign in China and is exploring plans to bring the initiative across Asia-Pacific amid high prevalence of osteoporosis.

This year, the campaign is expanding into China’s county markets, reaching over 1,000 counties and cities.

Healthcare practitioners are the main target audience of the campaign’s expansion.

India’s spice firm to debut gummy range for in-house nutra brand

Synthite Industries Ptd Ltd, one of India’s largest spice and herb ingredient suppliers, is debuting a range of gummy nutraceuticals under its nutraceutical brand NatXtra, including anti-aging gummies.

The brand, which was founded in 2022 with products across blood sugar management, curcumin and ashwagandha, now has 23 dietary supplement SKUs.

This month, it will be launching its first set of gummy supplements, against the backdrop of a growing trend for functional snacks.

Arun Hozack, formerly the President of Red Bull Asia-Pacific, has launched a functional drink start-up known as Numin with neuroscientist Dr Shawn Watson.

The idea behind Numin is to tackle the issue of decision fatigue by helping people make higher quality decisions for a longer period of time.

High-stake decision makers, such as commodity traders and professional e-sports athletes could be most prone to decision fatigue, but this is a condition that everyone potentially faces.

GNC expands Watsons Singapore’s presence; clarifies links with LAC

GNC Holdings has expanded its partnership with health and beauty retail chain Watsons and has clarified that the GNC brand is entirely different from LAC.

LAC is a health supplement brand and retail chain now run by people behind its former Singapore franchisee.

GNC started its selling its products in Singapore exclusively via Watsons since last October, and introduced the GNC store-within-store concept with Watsons since January this year.
