Sweet relief: Amorepacific’s Vital Beautie adds new functional jelly product to body fat reduction range
Since its brand renewal in 2016, Vital Beautie has been actively expanding its portfolio of dietary supplements and health functional foods, focusing on addressing evolving consumer habits and needs.
Its latest product, Meta Green Calorie Cut Jelly, is a health functional food that claims to benefit blood sugar and carbohydrate management.
With this launch, Amorepacific said that Vital Beautie’s Meta Green range, which includes other products such as Meta Green Slim Up and Meta Green Booster Shot 7Days, provides carbohydrate and body fat care to help modern consumers maintain their health and physique with ease.
The Jelly is formulated with indigestible maltodextrin, a 100% plant-based functional ingredient that suppresses the rapid rise in blood sugar level after a meal, and aids in bowel movements.
Its main ingredient, Garcinia, has shown in human studies to have significant effect on lowering body fat, weight loss, and waist circumference reduction.
In addition, the “konjac protein ball” texture offers a fun chewing experience, and gives a feeling of fullness, which could reduce the amount of food the user eats.
“The Jelly helps manage blood sugar levels in people who have difficulty controlling carbohydrate intake, such as sweet desserts, rice, or bread — simply by taking one packet a day before a meal. If you want to manage your dietary metabolism due to frequent fatty meals or high-calorie intake, you can take two packets a day after a meal.
“We have completed our diet line-up with this new product, along with an upgraded Meta Green Slim Up. The Jelly was developed after analysing the excessive increase in sugar intake among consumers. We will continue to research and develop products for sustainable diets in the future,” the firm said.
Meta Green Calorie Cut Jelly is available on Amorepacific’s official online shopping site Amore Mall from April 1, followed by subsequent releases on major e-commerce platforms and Olive Young stores.
Varied formats and functions
Vital Beautie has also revamped its “steady-seller” Meta Green Slim Up, which was launched through the brand’s official store on Naver’s e-commerce platform on March 25.
The product comes in tablet format and claims to produce quick results. Its key ingredients include catechin, vitamin C, and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which help with body fat reduction, antioxidant activity, fat, carbohydrate and protein metabolism, and energy production.
It is especially recommended for managing body fat during travel, people who have frequent dinner gatherings and high-calorie meals, and those who are concerned about body fat and cholesterol levels.
For the new version, notable changes include the reduction in tablet size and recommended daily intake (decreased from three to two tables), making it more convenient for consumption while maintaining optimal vegan catechin content.
“It is a decaffeinated product that can be safely consumed by consumers who hesitate to ingest even a small amount of caffeine.”
Additionally, its packaging has been redesigned to be more intuitive so that the product’s features and benefits are clearly illustrated.
Meta Green Booster Shot 7Days, another product in the Meta Green series, is touted as a duo-function “body fat reduction and intensive slimming” solution.
Available in ampoule format, the product contains APIC, a mixture containing soybean embryo extract and L-carnitine.
It is targeted at body fat management and improvement of bone health and vitality during exercise, and immune support while dieting.
