In Thailand, over 20 per cent of its population are estimated to be above 65 years old by 2029, while in Singapore, the statistics is higher – with this group of citizens already comprising 19.1 per cent last year.
Healthcare is top of mind when it comes to meeting the needs of an ageing population.
Singapore’s Alexandra Hospital, for example, is running a Healthy Longevity Research Clinic with National University Health System’s Centre for Healthy Longevity in providing personalised preventative care.
