Amway’s Nutrilite banks on regenerative agriculture and farming partnerships to meet “ever-increasing” consumer demand

Amway’s supplements brand Nutrilite has named regenerative agriculture as a key focus area to maintain a steady provision of botanicals for its products.

Moving forward, a key focus area for the company is regenerative agriculture. It especially believes that traceability will help ensure that its products remain safe and effective.

Moo-ving forward: Nuchev launches its first bovine product targeting school-going children and adults

Australian infant goat milk formula specialist Nuchev is launching its first bovine product for older children and adults as it looks to introduce a series of products aimed at enhancing digestion and immunity over the next 12 months.

The move stems from the growing demand for products focusing on immunity and digestion found through extensive consumer research it has undertaken in Australia and China.

“Goat and bovine [milk] are vehicles. Based on what we have observed, China is relatively advanced in illness prevention. So, we are very interested in giving consumers that immunity boost,” Scott Koetsier, Nuchev’s Head of Sales & Business Development told NutraIngredients Asia.

Australian infant and adult milk formula firm Nutura Organic will be making its debut in Thailand through a distribution deal with major Thai food producer CP Foods.

The partnership is part of CP Foods’ plans in introducing nutritional products catered to consumers at different life stages.

It also provides an opportunity for an Australian boutique milk formula firm to compete in the Thai market, which is currently dominated by international brands, says Jeremy Okraglik, CEO of Nutura Organic.

Indian anti-hangover first mover Morning Fresh eyes growth opportunities for RTD functional beverages

India-based Morning Fresh is actively expanding its portfolio across categories and formats to fulfil rising demand for functional products, particularly ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages.

Since its debut in 2015, the firm noticed that consumer demand for anti-hangover products and competition in the market have evolved significantly, and there is room to innovate using herbs and spices.

“There is a lot of room for innovation, especially in India where we have a huge body of natural ingredients such as herbs and spices that we can leverage to develop new products. There are also myriad possibilities in terms of format, including gummies and strips. We are working on product extensions and building a range of ‘wellness beverages,” brand founder Mitali Tandon told us.
