A leading exec at the first company to get regulatory approval to sell cultivated meat products will be sharing the strategies behind its journey to the market at our forthcoming Growth Asia Summit in Singapore.

The three day event will take place at the iconic Marina Bay Sands venue from 11-13 October​.

It will feature extensive expert insights from a raft of big-name brands, leading academics, policy experts, and the most innovative suppliers, all focusing on the region with biggest growth potential for food, beverage, supplements, functional products and nutrition – Asia.

The 2022 face-to-face summit will feature:

  • Day one dedicated to Healthy Ageing,​ incorporating our long-standing Healthy Ageing APAC Summit​, in a region where 1.3bn people will be over the age of 60 by 2050.
  • Day two will be dedicated to Probiotics, Prebiotics and the Microbiome,​ incorporating our established Probiota Asia​ summit, as we connect the worlds of business and science in these fascinating, and booming, categories.
  • And day three will be dedicated to Protein​, incorporating our Protein Vision​ event, as we shine the spotlight on one of the fastest-growing categories, plant-based protein, as well as detailing the latest innovation in the emerging cultivated product space, and of course the traditional meat, dairy and seafood sectors.

Today we can reveal that Aaron Yeo, Operations Director, GOOD Meat, will deliver a keynote talk titled: ​‘The cultivated meat revolution: GOOD Meat’s bold journey to the market in Singapore’

His synopsis states: “GOOD Meat was the first company in the world to secure regulatory approval to commercialise cultivated meat in November 2020. Since then, the company has learnt so much through its ongoing journey to make cultivated meat accessible and affordable. This talk will detail how GOOD Meat’s first steps in Singapore have led to significant expansion plans, from its first commercial serving to a group of students, to the hawker stalls of Singapore where tradition meets the future of protein, to its decision to build Asia’s largest cultivated meat production facility in the City State.”

Aaron is the Director of Operations at GOOD Meat, and previously spent six years at Singapore’s Economic Development Board, specialising in AgriFood, and was also a Regional Director for the Americas. Prior to that he was the Assistant Director, Renewable Energy , at Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and also has experience as a sustainability analyst at the United Nations. Based in Singapore, he describes himself as an avid craft beer brewer.
