Human Bifidobacteria, selected by Mother’s milk
Health promoting traits of Bifidobacteria are well-known around the world and its effect is strain-specific, however, whether the residential origin of each species would also contribute to the differences of their physiological functions in human health or not are yet to be known.
Morinaga Milk has focused on the research of composition and physiological features of Human-Residential Bifidobacteria(HRB) species which commonly inhabits the human gut.
The evidence is now accumulating that HRB have some traits which non-HRB don’t, such as metabolic capability of HMOs and it’s tolerance to lysozyme, which leads to the compatibility with mother’s breast milk.
