Singapore start-up Senescence targets younger demographic with new cognitive health supplement
EDGE is being marketed for the “stressed professional, overworked mom and health enthusiast between the ages of 30 and 55 years.”
Late last year the company, founded by Canadian neuroscientist Dr Shawn Watson, launched its Revive product for the over 55s, also in Singapore.
“With hectic urban lifestyles in a booming Asian economy, young professionals are more prone to the harmful effects of brain aging than ever before. Often viewed as a concern for the elderly, research shows that brain aging can occur as young as in your 20s. The birth of EDGE was fuelled by the rising need for an effective solution to help young professionals combat the mental struggles of modern-day working habits,” Dr Watson said.
Boost energy
The product contains panax ginseng, alpha-lipoic acid, selenium, vitamin E and centella asiatica.
It claims to help boost mental energy and processing speed, protect the brain from free radical attack and cellular damage to enhance memory function, detoxify and remove harmful compounds from the brain and sharpen focus, learning and memory to increase alertness at the workplace.
A one-month supply costs $80 and, as with Revive, subscription plans are available.
Singapore is Senescence’s first APAC market, with plans to launch in Thailand and Hong Kong in the pipeline.
