Dr Anitra Carr

She is the director of nutrition in medicine research group at the Otago University in New Zealand and specialises in conducting clinical trials that evaluate the effectiveness of vitamin C in human health.

Her journey first began when she was doing a post-doc fellowship at the Linus Pauling Institute, the vitamin C research powerhouse, in the US.

However, halfway through her career, she made the choice of going on a nearly 10-year break to focus on parenting duties – a choice which she said she did not regret.

Listen to the podcast for more about balancing work and home life, the power of vitamin c, and why not all clinical trials should be treated equally.
